Our Founding Team

Laban Anunda

Founding Principal

Laban founded SkyeHI Technologies in 2023, and manages the company’s product strategy and technical oversight. Along with day-to-day work at SkyeHI, Laban is actively tinkering with several tech solutions to address various challenges in the emerging markets.

Laban has contributed to various software projects both in Nairobi, Kenya and San Francisco, US. In Kenya, Laban built ERP systems for government agencies and went on to start crowd-sourcing platform Ma3Route, where he played a critical role in revolutionizing how traffic information is disseminated.

His visionary leadership and technical acumen were instrumental in developing Ma3Route’s platform, which leveraged user-generated content to provide real-time updates on traffic conditions, helping commuters navigate congestion more effectively.

Laban went on to work in San Francisco, US for both start-ups and large tech companies where he gained extensive experience in how to build highly scalable software.

Laban also enrolled at UC Berkeley to get training in Data Science and AI/ML to augment his skills in the age of AI.

Dr. Angela Okune

Advisor

Dr. Angela Okune serves as the development advisor at SkyeHI Technologies, bringing over 14 years of leadership within the nonprofit and open technology sectors.

Over her career, she has successfully secured $2.5 million USD from philanthropic funders, which has helped catalyze new communities of technologists and scientists around the world.

Angela specializes in program management and developing strategic partnerships.

At SkyeHI, she leverages her extensive experience to advise on securing vital funding and managing impactful projects.
